My kid is almost 2.years.old. I have no idea when she started talking in sentences to me, but she does. isn't that the weirdest?! Sooner or later, she'll be wiping her own butt and she won't even need me anymore.
A few days ago, she told her first lie. The two of us were sitting in the living room and Steve was brushing his teeth in the master bath.
me: Kylie, go brush your teeth. Go to appa (daddy).
Kylie ignores me.
me: Kylie. GO. Go brush your teeth.
Kylie looks up at me and giggles. She runs into our room and then runs immediately back out.
....
me: Kylie, did you brush your teeth?
Kylie ignores me.
me: Kylie? Did you brush your teeth?
Kylie: YES!
... LIAR!! She immediately ran back into my room laughing. What the heck. A 21-month-old telling her mama lies. We're in trouble.
